This is a placemat, made with high quality Japanese cotton called Mikawa Momen. This is 100% cotton materials, but it is used for making Kimono (usual kimono is made with silk, rayon or wool except Yukata which is summer kimono). It is single layer, thin but durable at same time. This is easy to take care, you can wash in washer machine, you can put them in dryer, and ironing is super easy because it is simple single layer piece. It is nicely woven fabric instead of print, the back side has great look as front. We have a few experiments about sizes, designs and type of materials, and we think this is the best for place mats you use everyday. There are 2 sizes available, Small and Large are available depend on your table size. Because of the placement of fabric, small placemats has the stripes in vertical way, size large has horizonal stripes. Please look at 5th & 6th photos for the reference. I can also turn this fabric into square shape napkins if you would like matched ones for your table, please feel free to reach me anytime for the custom order. The width of fabric is slightly vary depend on the patterns, some come with 37cm, some with 38.5cm. There is a small discount for the package of 4 of same size. :-)
