This is a drawstring purse, call kinchaku in Japanese. The outer fabric is repurposed vintage kimono, inside is lined with Japanese solid red cotton fabric. The cord is Edo uchihimo, and I added wood beads for the accent. It is great for carrying your coin purses, keys, lip sticks, sanitary/toiletry items.. whatever you can think of! It is also great for carrying your earphones and cords for your phones/tablets/PCs. It is made to order, but I might have some completed ones as well. Please feel free to ask about availability if you need to rush your order.
Vintage kimono is either 100% silk or rayon, and designed not to wash at home. Some people say that you can dry-clean them, but depending on how they were dyed, some kimono might be ruined by dry-cleaning because it uses oil based cleaner. If you have some small spots that you would like to clean, please try just to take care of the spot, instead of washing the whole piece, or please bring them into someone who knows how to take care of the kimono. You can try to wash them at home, as the piece is made with silk materials, on your own risk.
